The Acting and Theatre Arts (Top Up) course allows applicants with an HND/FdA in a relevant Acting/Drama discipline to continue on to the final year of the BA qualification.
Our well-known Acting and Theatre Arts degree combines traditional academic study with hands-on drama school training.
This course focuses on acting, plays, directing, contemporary drama, practitioners, playwrights, and applied theatre.

Entry Requirements

  • Completion of a relevant HND or FdA in a Drama/Acting discipline.
  • a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.0, with 5.5 in reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Career Prospects

This degree will prepare you for a wide range of careers related to the practice and teaching of performing arts. Many of our graduates are employed as actors, stage managers, lighting designers, directors, technicians, youth theater leaders, and teachers. Others have pursued further education at the postgraduate level.

Course Details

During your time with us, you'll learn through a combination of hands-on workshops and studio-based theory. There are no formal exams; instead, assessments are made through presentations, productions, coursework, or take-home papers.
Your final year will be completely unique to you. With no core modules in Year 3, you will be able to tailor your learning to your individual strengths and interests. This could include acting in plays, directing, making a short film, or gaining valuable industry experience on a placement.
