Entry Requirements

  • We generally only consider applicants with at least a high lower second class degree (2:2) in Psychology or a related discipline.
  • The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all components).

Students can also pursue a placement with an organization of their choice through the excellent facilities offered by the placement office. The program focuses on theoretical and practical issues in areas such as Health, Neuropsychology, Counselling, and Business, models of behavior relevant to Applied Psychology, cultural and organizational elements of work, health and safety at work, employee assistance, counseling, and motivation. Counseling and psychotherapy are introduced in relation to medical models of understanding health and illness. The programme also covers research issues focusing on both quantitative and qualitative methods. Optional modules are available at levels 5 and 6, but not on every course. If an optional module is not offered, the programme will advise students after the selection period or at the earliest time the programme team makes the decision not to run the module and help them choose an alternative module.
