Study in the UK Just Got Easier with eVisa
Big changes are here for UK-bound students and professionals! Starting 15 July 2025, UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) has begun issuing eVisas—a digital version of your immigration status—for selected study and work visa routes. This means that many applicants will no longer receive a visa vignette (sticker) in their passports.
At Student Connect, we're here to guide you every step of the way.
What is an eVisa?
An eVisa is a secure online record of your UK immigration status, linked to your current passport and accessible via a UKVI account. You’ll use it to:
- Enter the UK
- Prove your right to study, work, or rent
- Access public services
Who Will Receive an eVisa?
If you submit and pay for your visa application on or after 15 July 2025, and fall under any of the categories below, you’ll receive an eVisa (no vignette):
- Student (including Child Student and Short-term Study for 11 months)
- Skilled Worker (including Health & Care)
- Global Business Mobility
- International Sportsperson
- Temporary Worker (excluding Seasonal Worker)
Dependants will still receive both a vignette and an eVisa for now.
