Entry Requirements

  • A good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, or equivalent industrial and work experience in construction management or other related field.

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.0 with no component score below 5.5.

Course Details

The Master's degree program is designed to accommodate students with various responsibilities, including work and family responsibilities. The program offers a one-year course structure, with 8-12 hours of teaching time per week and 20 hours of independent study per week. The final three months of the course are dedicated to the student's research project. The Master's study is more specialized than an undergraduate degree, allowing students to focus on a specific topic with academics committed to the subject. Most teaching is face-to-face, including workshops, seminars, one-on-one tutorials, practical sessions, and group discussions. Online sessions and materials can be incorporated into the face-to-face learning. Assessments are conducted through coursework and exams, including essays, reports, portfolios, presentations, and group work assessments. Students can test their skills and knowledge informally before undergoing formal assessments, and receive feedback on practice and formal assessments to improve in the future.
