Study style

The teaching program is dynamic, interactive, and experiential. Engaging in academic and applied learning, this teaching program will provide you with a balance of theoretical frameworks and interactive practical work experiences in social work and social care settings.  You’ll engage in studies that provide you with the necessary knowledge, skills, and theoretical frameworks that inform all areas of social work practice with adults and children. _ With an emphasis on experiential learning, your studies will include working in small tutorial and seminar groups, simulations, role-play, group work, and opportunities to develop reflective and critical debate.


Entry Requirements

  • This course is specifically designed for people who want to qualify and practice as professional social workers in England. Applicants should have a detailed understanding of social work practices in the UK and hold a 2.1 honors degree equivalent in a relevant subject area. Applicants must also have at least three months of recent work experience in a social care setting, contributing to some understanding of social work.

GCSE English Language and 

Maths

  • GCSE English Language and Mathematics at grade 4 (C) or above, or an equivalent qualification.

  • If English is not your first language, you are required to provide a language test certificate as evidence of proficiency that is at the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

     

    level 7.0 overall.

  • In order to study this course, offer holders will need to complete a satisfactory DBS check.
